We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve our predictive maintenance services. The types of data we collect include:
- Vehicle Telemetry Data: We collect diagnostic data broadcast by your vehicle OBD-II system. This includes engine speed (RPM), vehicle speed, throttle position, coolant temperature, engine load, G-force metrics, and system fault codes. This data is saved in drive session files.
- Location Information: We record GPS location data only with your explicit permission and only while you are actively logging a drive session. We use this data to show trip routes, start and end points, and driving analytics. We do not track location in the background.
- Account Information: We collect your name, email address, password, and vehicle profile information when you register an account.
- Device Information: We collect information about the mobile device you use to access our app, including device model, operating system, and Bluetooth connection status.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Vehicle Diagnosis: Running diagnostic algorithms to analyze system degradation and predict mechanical failures in cooling, engine, transmission, brakes, and tires.
- Alerts & Notifications: Sending notifications about maintenance needs and impending component failures.
- Service Improvements: Developing and refining signal processing filters and prediction models.
3. Data Sharing & Privacy Safeguards
Your privacy is our priority. We enforce the following rules:
- No Data Sales: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information or vehicle telemetry data.
- No Third Party Sharing: We do not share your data with advertisers, insurance companies, or marketing networks.
- Secure Cloud Storage: Telemetry logs are stored securely in your private cloud space on Google Cloud Platform.
4. Your Controls & Options
You have full control over your data:
- Location Control: You can turn off GPS recording at any time in the app Settings. Drives will then be logged without location data.
- Account Management: You can edit or delete your account, vehicle profiles, and drive logs at any time.
