An OBD-II Bluetooth adapter (ELM327-compatible) plugged into your vehicle's OBD-II port, and a Raste account. Most vehicles built from 1996 onward have an OBD-II port, usually under the dashboard on the driver's side.
Partly. You can create an account, add vehicles, and view previously analyzed drives. Logging a new drive with engine data requires the adapter. Phone-only drives record location and motion, but not engine readings.
Drives are recorded on your device and uploaded to your private cloud space when analyzed. Analyzed drives can be restored to a new device using Restore My Data in Settings.
Sign in with the same account and use Restore My Data in Settings. This recovers vehicles and drives that were uploaded for analysis. Drives that were logged but never analyzed were only stored on your device and cannot be recovered.
Settings → Privacy → Location. Drives will still be logged, without location data.
Diagnostics sharing is off unless you turned it on. You can change it at any time in Settings → Privacy. Turning it off stops collection and clears anything not yet sent.
Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and enter your email. If an account exists for that address, we'll send a reset link.
Settings → Delete Account. You'll confirm with your password. Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after 30 days. Signing in during that window lets you reactivate. If you cannot access the app, use our Account Deletion page to submit a request from your registered email. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
If your account owns a fleet with other members, deletion is blocked until the fleet is transferred to another owner or removed. This protects data belonging to other users.
